streaming?

Post by jalor_uk »

Hi all! Just wondered if anyone else has been intoduced to the new idea called streaming(willfull delay).

my walk is too big and i am waiting to be tested. The management make me pull out all the mailsort and second class if that is all i have for a house.

i am one of only a handful who have their breaks and do the job properly but get treated like a leper by the management.

This is my day today.
5.00 start prep
5.30 start sorting
6.20 back to prep
6.50 sorting
7.45 back to prep
8.00 missorts
8.20 break
9.00 back to tie up
9.45 start delivery
12.45 van picks me up
3hrs for a 3hr 45 delivery?

stream mail and cut off. Back to the office for the inquisition.
15 years and reduced to this.

Is the term streaming their term or yours? If its the former we will see more of it with six oclock + starts.

Some combinations of firm deliverys and ordinary house holds will be leaving the office before all the sorting is finished.

what wil happen to the surplus mail left behind for the job?

Twenty years ago you could take where you were going with bills and mailsort I seem to remember . Could we be going back to that when it suits?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

if i only took stamped letters i would only have to go out 1 or twice a week,to be correct all mail should be delivered as far as you are able to get in your time and the rest covered as a cut off on docket, get your dom to give you streaming instructions in writing witnessed by a friend or rep and another manager otherwise you are delaying the mail

we stream in the office sometimes, but it tends to be for walks being covered in OT,contingency etc
never really for a 'normal' duty
