3.5% unlikely!

Post by hubbahubba »

Letter put on the Union noticeboard today, with update from the "ongoing" talks(not too sure if it was a LTB or just a local thing).
Had a few points, ongoing talks blah blah blah, but the most important paragraph was the last one.It was along the lines of "RM have told us that the 3.5% pay increase was under review in these tough times and falling mail volumes",you know, the standard BS weve been hearing since bt2010 was agreed.
Reading between the lines,it looks like we're about to be done over again(for a change)..............

Whats the saying about spots and leopards again? :cuppa

Yes loads go rumours but it will be confirmed next week that it will be paid. The bigger challenge for Royal Mail is how the EU commission will view Royal Mail paying out the money at a time when it is asking for state aid due to its financial problems.

You're not really buying that dingo are you?
That the EU will consider that 3.5% taken as part of 6.9% over 3 years is excessive when RPI is sitting around 5%.
Come on..it's a pay cut in real terms..the EU should be overjoyed....is this Moya's latest "poor us" position?
It should be more. :cuppa

Maybe RM could just ask for £45billion because it seems ok to fund the banks but not others............

I'll be surprised if the money comes, we all know that RM don't want to pay and the union will just allow them because they're now just a plaything of the bosses.

How does RM justify Moya's pay & bonus to the EU.
When going cap in hand saying they are broke :cuppa

I have to say that all your cheap shots don't wash with me , I give you a bit of information which you all then jumped on and start to attack this is pathetic.

I let you all live in your fantasy world. The rest of us will have to deal with reality.

They are in the most part valid points.
The fact that you don't agree with them doesn't make them cheap shots.
We agreed to a re-opener clause if RPI was above the limits,it is but that has been brushed under the carpet.
It is anything but an excessive pay rise especially taken over 3 years so why would the EU have anything to say about it and the suggestion that it would is obviously the position RM have taken in an attempt to weaken any argument for more...so given that RM play this game constantly..it is propaganda.

Don't consider myself someone who regulary has digs at you Dingo.
But why don't the CWU get in the real world of looking after their members T&C & maybe even looking to improve them.
Rather than singing RM doctrine about how bad things really are.

You have some nerve to say we live in a fantasy world, we're the ones who said this wasn't going to work and we have been proved to be correct, only London seems to have been immune for all the crap that RM is dishing out and you (in your little fantasy world) blame us. You are one of the reasons that the union is losing the confidence of the members but then it's probably our fault because the union (and it's apologists) always blame the members.

It boils down to the basic fact that the union has no respect - due to making crap deals and helping rm to remove our terms and conditions, you're all on thin f***ing ice my pedigree chums!
CUT OFF!!!
