TIME TO PULL OUT OF TALKS

Post by ulster postie »

The reason im saying this is this morning my dom informed us that no matter what the outcome of the talks are, RM, are going to empliment the EX/ACTION on later starts. SO WHAT THE FCUK ARE WE STILL DOING TALKING TO THESE PRATS. As ive said before on this site it was a sad day when we stoped the I/A just because :lfo :cfo said they would talk with the cwu. We had them where we wanted, by the B***S, AND WE HAVE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK. Can someone please tell me why are two leaders are playing footsie with people who at the end of the day dont give a fcuk about reaching a agreement, they have called our bluff, and we have fallen for it. SOMEONE AT THE TOP OF THIS UNION IS IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE WHEN THE S**T HITS THE FAN. AS ive said in another thread I SMELL A RAT. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

Got told the same thing myself by our DUM. I also found out from him that our rep was told to ask us if we wanted 06.00 or 06.30 start times. We were never told this at the time. The rep only told us we could have 06.30. You just can't trust some people and unfortunately some of them are in the CWU.

We were told this morning that it would come in regardless but apart from the application forms to register for child friendly arrangements that we could as an office negotiate for a shorter saturday!. Our rep has told us that pending the talks outcome we should not negotiate for anything.

Our office is the same and we are having a meeting on Friday about it. Local ballot and strike to follow I think.

Time for Billy N Dave to pull the plug on there cozy chat behind doors....

RM are against agreed points of the TALKS.... NO EX ACTION... Or threats of EX Action... They have broken this already... So what chances are there of RM keeping to the rules when we come away from talks... They want us to go UNOFFICAL and brake the Offical IA... fragmented strikes all over they will put down.... But a pull out of talks with a big strike announced will not only buck us up but show the doughnut brothers WE AINT FOR FECKING AROUND...

I say again... No one want to be out on strike... But i will and i will fight these two and the goverment for all im worth... WE as a UNION need info from the HQ.. We dont get enough and on time..... Its my one gripe with the HQ of the CWU... Lets get more active and make a mark on things.... Not pandering to Silly books that have to be delivered on there release date so little kids can read em... And Joe Public think we are all VERY NICE BOYS N GIRLS... While RM larf at us.... Now come on... Do we mean business or are we gonna roll over and let RM and POSTCOMM walk all over our service and jobs????

STAND UP AND HAVE YOUR SAY... LOOK FOR THE FUTURE AND HOW WE WILL BE IF WE LOSE THIS FIGHT NOW...???

IT WILL BE THE LAST STAND OF THE CWU.... FACT....

I cant understand it

Post by JAMESMARSH1980 »

What I dont understand is later starts mean later post, all the people on my delivery love an early delivery, so if this means dragging the psot back to say first delivery will be at say 10.30am and last at say 2pm then the customers will hate it, What will happen to the special deliverys ? Will we have to get rid of those first ? I just cant get my teeth around it, the earlier the post surely the better, I think :cfo and :lfo should start listening to what the public want and what us employees wnat, they say we are going to cripple RM with the demands we want but there demands are going to cause outrage and put a sad face on what was a happy customers face.

This must be in breach of the agreement, informing you of ex action on later starts means they have been told somthing about the talks i.e. that there is no agreement on the later starts therefore they will go ahead anyway???

that both parties commit to talks on all the issues between them, hosted and facilitated by the TUC. Both sides commit to reach an agreement by 4 September.
that, during this period the talks are on a confidential basis with no media or internal briefings unless explicitly jointly agreed. The CWU Executive and Royal Mail Board will receive regular updates on progress and would also be expected to undertake this confidentiality clause.

This is truely bad news :d'oh!

Updates

Post by JAMESMARSH1980 »

We have had no updates on our board, all our office has been talking about is the GPS Sysytems that are being put in vans so they can monitor where you are and the handheld signature devices they are going to give us all, so thats where are pay rises are going. Our DOM today said that each round is easily done (overheard him saying this to another postie as he was booking to much overtime) How many times do we have to hear this crap that this job is easy, no its not easy, it differs day 2 day, these guys probably have not done a round in 20 years, I would like to see them try and cover it in the alloted time. Half of them find it a struggle to get to the toilet and back in 10 mins

As I left the MC tonight some managers were putting up some information on the notice boards, did'nt get a good enough look at it i'm afraid, I saw SA''s mentioned, but there was also alot of other stuff there, so have a good look at your RM notice boards tomorrow.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

as for later starts my dom said the same thing this morning and also that a neighbouring office has signed up for later starts knowing the rep there i doubt this info is correct

i stated that as its part of the talks going on
any forcing of implementing later starts will be reported to our area rep to be taken further and he backed off

my thoughts on later starts are its not the later starts thats a problem its the later finishes (apart from the shift allowance)

give us a 35 hr FT week for at least what we get now and you can have your later starts and we still finish the same time as now how about that :lfo :cfo
