Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
Seems to be a few coming on regarding the implementation of their revision and how bad and how wrong the duties are.
Question then, did the others in your office not see this, how did the revisions get voted in??

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
The revisions aren't being voted in, they're being forced in, I know that if we don't agree to the new duties in my office then they'll just force them in.

Ok this is what we need to know then, were theses revisions voted by the members or not and why not if not,i've just logged on and skipping through some posts in the 2010 forum and it doesn't look good.
Why are people letting others get away with s**t from management and reps.
P&M all over again!

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
Some offices are overreacting.
Some offices have voted poor revisions in for the money.
Some offices have voted poor revisions in through ignorance.
Some offices have voted poor revisions in through pressure from management.
Some offices have voted poor revisions in through pressure from the union.
Some offices didn't get a vote....where was the rep?...
Indoor workload matching the IWT was never going to happen.
Outdoor workload matching pegasus was never going to happen.
If you base a revision around the figures produced by these tools....it's never going to happen.
R.I.P. Royal Mail.

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
We're having a vote tommorow....i'm expecting a yes, to get the money
and because it's coming in anyway.
because we'll lose our slot and get later start time/finish time.
because they will fix any problems at the PIR.
in a couple of cases because i've already made sure No1 is looked after so it won't affect me.

oh we'll be going live on November the 15th right before Christmas!

With regards to letting them away with it, already to late for that! stable doors and hourses and all that.POSTMAN wrote:Why are people letting others get away with s**t from management and reps.

Revisions based on IWT and Pegasus with the performance rates being used (pretty much the same as before with comsetic changes) mean only the runners have any chance of doing the job on time.
All revisions are to be based on that.

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
because they where forced in,,, i spoke to the management about this, the walks where impossible to physically do, and the management said geo route posties can do it. there has been no consulting the postal people,, a you do it, we are making the walks massive for you posties.. we the management are laughing at you, because we can, why because we are paying you and we the management can do as we please.............. its a complete disgrace to the working postman.POSTMAN wrote:Seems to be a few coming on regarding the implementation of their revision and how bad and how wrong the duties are.

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
The closer you are to 100Bsi..or the closer you think you are to 100Bsi...the more likely your revision will fail.
Especially if this figure was based on less than honest factors like coming in early and skipping meal relief.
It stands to reason if everybody has been artificially boosting the EP of an office by coming in early, using their own cars etc and then suddenly they stop doing it.......the wheels will fall off.
Our EP ranges from 55 to 85 depending on the traffic.
I think we're in the bottom third some where

Re: Revisions:Why did it get a yes vote?
The big issue is that change should be minimal as in little over a year we will be having major full scale revision activty. A lot of mbrs really dont see the point of this revision due to whats due in early 2012.
The DOM has a proposal and Im going to ask the mbrs to instruct me via a democratic ballot if my response to the DOM is to be yes or a no.
