9.7 items per household per week is still a relatively low number compared to the average number of Door Drop items per household in many continental countries. For example, the corresponding figure for The Netherlands is over 30 items.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

It was on the TNT website, and i found this interesting.
If you want access to every post code sector in the UK and the bonus of a positive environment of receipt, TNT Post can plan and book your doordrop to be delivered alongside the post by the Royal Mail.

Didn't realise we had this with them as well :Confused

I think the D2Ds we currently have used to be handled by a company called CD Circular?
Seem to recall they were taken over by TNT,and like most things now delivered by yours truly!
This is an interesting position as regards future negotiations as the union could well find itself in a third party dispute.

Europeans

In the Netherlands, they probably have more postmen, so the amount of mail they take out is the same as here. As they're in Europe, they'll probably have to comply with the European standards on health and safety, I should imagine.

In the Netherlamds the postmen wear clogs which have a better grip and are more watertight than our shoes.

Who's the contract-or?

Post by majeed »

I find it strange that although RM is not the contractor, they are the ones who negotiate these (mandatory) contracts for us. It certainly seems highly unusual! :confused
