bosses using the letter of the law to harrass, is there a legal term for this as its happening everyday????.... one example from a guy in our office would be wearing training shoes on the advice of a rheumatology specialist, only for royal mail to counter this with health n safety..... the guy has been wearing the training shoes for 2 years then all of a sudden it becomes a problem.. he was told he couldnt go out on delivery without unsafe footwear and was goin to be sent to the mail centre to perform indoor duties, however the guy who replaced him on his walk was a casual, believe it or not wearing trainers!!!!

This is happening in our place as well,you have to watch what you say,as it can be mis-interpreted,and any mis-demeanour is being punished with an almost instant 2 year serious,no matter how trivial,but the best seems to be not only during that working week,but they are dragging up conduct issues from last year to 'get' people.

if you have a doctors note they cant do anything about it, they have to send you to see a royal mail specialist.

I Have Been Trying to get new boots since oct of last year, they keep saying out of stock. im wearing my own footwear which is now worn out too, and they talk about health and safety. there having a laugh.

demand for a pair of royal mail issue boots or shoes,this is a health and safety issue,if you were to have an accident on duty not wearing royal mail issue you would"nt have a case against them,it"s a disgrace,all they"re interested in is getting the mail out the door.
