Post by Mickstew »

Hello my name is mick I am a postie in Rochdale and am looking for anyone who bought a Fujitsu Siemens PC through the learning for all scheme Royal Mail ran a few years back. My PC has crashed and I need the the product recovery CD. I have enqiured and been qouted £43 so if anyone has it and I could buy a copy from it I would be very grateful. Thanks

Moved to blue shirts.

I had one of these PC's i may have some disks,i'll have a look.Wouldn't charge you.

Also funny enough mine has died, when i try to turn it on it doesn't seem to click in.
I've put various disks in and nothing happens.
I've given up with it tbh.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I've got one and it's still going strong. Also got the disc and I can send you a copy if you PM me. Copy discs do work as I made a copy of mine not long after I got the computer and I've used it every time I've had to reinstall the system.

You might have tried all this but - just in case you haven't, when you boot up, you get the screen with Fujitsu Siemens on - then the POST screen appears. That's the black screen with all the numbers and stuff which appears for about one second. When you see that, tap F8 until you'll see a list of options - you can try "Start Windows Normally" or "Last Known Good Configuration......" Use the Up/Down keys to choose one and press Enter - then Enter again. Just a thought.

£43! Ha! FOC to a fellow postie.
