THE FUTURE

Post by teewee »

Time to take a look into the future.

One Friday around 3 years from now I arrive home after completing my delivery and doing part of another delivery because someone has gone sick. I have delivered my 9 bags of mail and 5 sets of D2D. I open my payslip to find My wages have dropped by £12. This after recieving below inflation pay deals for the last 3 years and not recieving dividends from the phantom shares because royal mail did not meet its targets.
Some of my colleagues will see their wages drop by £24.

We must stop this from happening.

Royal mail tell us that their top 500 managers are taking a pay freeze then Adam Crozier recieves £270,000 bonus payments. (some pay freeze)

Royal mail says it will listen to its people then ignores the 77% who rejected it business plan.

Royal Mail tells us we've lost 40% of business, but were still delivering it and royal mail are still being payed to deliver it.

They tell you they cant afford to offer more than 2.5% but then spend a fortune on fancy TV's to try and brainwash its staff.

Royal mail will spend millions investing in machinery but refuses to invest in its staff and will not even spend the money to give you a pouch box.

We must be strong on Friday and on any other days of industrial action. If we are not the union will have no bargining power in pay deals in the years to come and we will be on our way to earning minimum wage. It is only because of the union that we recieve the level of pay that we do.
