Help / Advice

Post by Dreamcatcher »

A lad on the section I work on is taking the piss. Each Tuesday he puts all his d2d in a large sack and has them dropped at point on his delivery and then he dumps them in large bins near by. He has already been done for not doing his d2d and laughs about this.
It really psses me off that I deliver all mine but come out with the same money.
I cannot speak to our line manager as he would tell him also they are very good friends.
I dont feel comfy going into the DOM as I dont want to be invoved as grassin isnt something i want to be known for, he's been at RM along time

Any advice please would be great

He's nothing but an idiot of the highest order. If he gets found out, he can expect a visit from the I.B. who will search his house. When I was the rep for our office I was asked by the I.B. to accompany them on two such searches. They leave no stone unturned and it is very upsetting for the families concerned. If that's what he wants to risk putting his family through, he deserves everything he gets. Have a word and tell him an I.B. search possibly followed by a court appearance and the order of the boot is not worth the risk for a few quid a week.

You could write an anomynous letter to you DOM pointing him in the right direction where to find said items, these people annoy me as most posties are 100% committed to the job it is the few who screw it up for the rest.

As Tommo says,I would not take that action cause as mentioned in another post " GIVE EM ENOUGH ROPE " will eventually do the trick.

Dreamcatcher, ignore it,at my old DO this bloke used to go round nicking packets off peoples frames.
When he dropped my bags out he had gone through them and taken stuff out.
Ok he's making money or what ever but he's taking on hell of a chance.

Those bins you mention will get looked at one day then he's in the s**t.
Leave him to dig his own grave mate.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
