Can they do this?

Post by CuttingOffTodayBoss »

On the strikes 2 years ago, a few people were asked to work on a sunday to clear the backlog

It turned out that the only people asked were the people that worked on the strike days

I put a grievance saying i was being discriminated against, as only the people who worked thru the strikes were offered overtime, but nothing was done

so can they do this, ive heard that the same thing will be happening again this sunday and i intend to put another grievance in. If they do nothing about it, is there any way i can take it further?

yes you may have a case for unfair detriment for legitimate trade union activity in a Industrial Tribunal but you'd obviously have to exhaust RM's grievance procedure first .

Maybe a good idea to politely remind RM about :hmmmm this

it was policy in 2007 , strikers should not be rewarded - according to RM .
