Strike Fever

Post by the beautiful bd south »

Has strike fever struck your office.
The people who dont want to lose a days pay but dont want to cross a picket line so take the option of going sick?

Just hope they dont come to regret it when the business are trying to get rid of people down the attendence proceedure.

In our office they get overtime fever. After the strike the pratts do any of the cut offs so they make the money up that way. Sort of defeats the object a bit. they don't seem to understand that if the deal goe's through they will be doing them for nothing in the future.

If you are really sick make sure you get a sick note. If not I think ringing in sick when on strike is as bad as crossing the picket line. Maybe even worse as at least the strike breakers are up front about it when they cross the picket line.

If someone is off sick solely on STRIKE DAY then RM requires them to get a sick certificate from their GP.

RM policy is to never question the genuiness of sick abscence.

They will not regard someone off sick as being on strike.

GOOD LUCK TO US ALL
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
