To and from the DO

Hi,

Please forgive me for these stupid newbie questions (and if wolfie gets his way I'll be gone soon )

I have to drive to my DO because of it's distance from me, and I found out my route will be nowhere near either the DO or my home, so when I finish my round who is responsible for getting me back to the DO, myself or RM?

If it's me can I claim for the bus fair to get back to the DO or does it come out of my pocket. Or does my line manager or DOM arrange for transport to collect me?

It's not daft mate. The managers have to get you dropped out and arrange for you to be brought back in your duty time.

Just wanted to highlight that bit, because anything else goes on the docket ( overtime ) sheet. It might also be worth asking colleagues ( not managers ) if the managers would refund you bus fare.....one duty at my office always needs picking up, but cos most people have gone home by then, the unfortunate can sometimes be left waiting 30 - 60 minutes or more!
