requesting working @ another Do during severe weather?

im part-time working wed-sat.

the current do i work at is around 10 miles from my home,
i have a closer do which is around 3 miles away .

im thinking of calling my dom tommorow asking him if i can work at the closest do for the reminder of this week cause of the weather.

can this be done?

Many years ago we where told in extreme weather conditions,when you could,nt get to you own office and there was an office nearer to you you could go there untill the weather eased.
Take care out there.
