The reasoning for the selloff of a minority stake of Royal Mail is that it will bring capital and expertise to the company.
This therefore begs the questions,
Why wasn’t the 1.2 billion pounds loan from government enough?
Why have Royal Mail only spent half of the loan money?
Why isn’t the 40 million work hours taken out/absorbed from the blue shirt grade in Royal Mail between April 2004 and April 2008 enough to help?
Why are all the other savings RM have made from non staff costs and staff costs from grades that are not front line CWU ops grades added to the blue shirt savings been enough?
Why wont the savings from reaching the end of loan period combined with savings from the government helping out with the pension along with the savings mentioned above be enough for ongoing investment?
Why is there a lack of transparency in Royal Mail accounts/finances?
Why is a sell off being proposed without first rectifying the lack of transparency and assessing the impact of the above savings on Royal Mail finances?
Why do the current and past management lack the expertise to transform Royal Mail through its automation and modernisation program?
Why has the need for expertise and experience been overlooked in the appointment for the new Royal Mail Group chairman?
Why has internal promotion come to a halt in terms of making it to board level management and is this the reason there is no expertise on the Royal Mail Board?
Why have industrial relations nosedived under Mr Leighton and Mr Crozier?

GREED = shares of a company which is is expected too not only deliver a profit but reinvestment in new technology and pay for it's own liability (PENSION'S)!. It is clear to me that the cost cutting was and is unsustainable for a business or any public service!. They :lfo & :cfo got their figure's wrong or they thought they could do a runner with the cash in time before the sh*t hit the fan!. It has now come too the end game in which we will all pay the price for management failure/corruption if we do not all stick together as one and all!. THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS IF SOME FOOL :lfo OFFER'S YOU A SHARE OF A COMPANY WHICH IS BANKRUPT IT IS FOOL'S GOLD!.Big Daz wrote:spilie wrote:one word answer GREED
