Makes you wonder where they get these from, shouldn't Royal Mail be the sole recipient of these items? If surplus clothing stores do end up with them at least the uniform should be without Royal Mail branding on it. Like what the police do...

I know of ex posties and serving ones who have put RM uniform for sale on ebay, a sackable offence!!!

i noticed that you couldnt order things online and you would have to go over to the usa to get them but from a security aspect still worrying.surely surplus uniform could have the labels, company logo ripped off
before they are sold.either that or just incinerate the or sell them to factories as cleaning cloths etc.

When we started - we were told it was a absolute no - no , if you gave away an old coat to one of your dodgy mates -as you might see it being modeled on one of those " I saw these " postmen " standing outside the PO with double - barrelled shotguns and a red van parked across the road and I wondered what was going on " videos on telly .

RM are quite happy to ignore Asian cassie staff wearing bits of uniform though - quell surprise :Very Happy
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

pity they haven't got any of the old coats with the knitted collar, removable sleeves and hundreds of pockets. My one is about 15 years old and nearly threadbare. But I'll wear it until either it or me gives up the ghost

:nana Yes, still have and wearing my old coat, although Managers do not like it. Many others have managed to get
second hand ones through the net, and are wearing them. weren't the old uniforms far better than the rubbish we get
now. O.k. you had to wait for weeks while they were tailor made, but they fitted well, and lasted. And of course the clerks shoes--no comparison to the lethal magnums.
