Today I left my colleague out on delivery
Someone who was filling in for the usual person I work with,
10 minutes till finish time, and they wouldn't get back in the van 'I want to finish this bundle' so i left them.
Was I right or wrong? I had things to do.

Your were right he wants to finish bundle then go ahead .if he wants to do overtime that's on him,you shouldn't be forced to go over your time waiting for him.

Out of curiosity how far away from office did you leave him.

If you had informed your colleague at the beginning of the shift that you wouldn't be staying over then that is acceptable. What interests me is why you had finished yet your colleague still had a bundle to deliver.

Perhaps you should have had the discussion earlier than right at the last minute.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Did you contact the PIC and ask for advice?

Did you warn them you would leave them if they didn't get back in the van? If you did they've only got themselves to blame, although they may well give a different story if they decide to put in a grievance if they were stuck waiting for a bus/lift for ages!!

Yes, she rang the manager who got someone to pick her up anyway.

It can happen. Get held up by a few customers taking ages to answer or not being in while the other loop gets round with no issues.freyasdad123 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 16:40If you had informed your colleague at the beginning of the shift that you wouldn't be staying over then that is acceptable.
