Wow that questionnaire is very loaded in their favour aint it. Reading between the lines they are going to do this by EA and are just trying to gather all the info they need to do it.

They aren't just trying it on, they're flying in the face of the current modernisation agreement where there was supposed to be a combined CWU and RM move forward on agreeing new working practices.

Unfortunately the leadership seem to have missed the ongoing onslaught on our working conditions by RM persisting in implementing change by executive action and there seems to be no answer to it because the membership now, barring the places like Burslem, won't stand up to them.

this is phase 4 isn't it when walk sequencing machines come in.
We've been told about the van sharing and increased delivery spans
but thats for us to look forward to next year.

If the 4 and a half hour delivery span does come in i will be seeking legal advice as to my rights regarding breaks toilet facilities etc, everytime i ask my rep he just shrugs and mutters

Not the we have consulted "our " people again one is it and it IS agreed in ANY form - they are being very economical with the truth

The view of senior management is why do deliveries have to be restricted to 3 1/2 hours - one said hairdressers and lollipop ladies manage to stand for more time so postmen can do it

Surely any H&S analysis of this will knock this stupid idea out of the equation?

Send a gaffer out on a 4 1/2 hour delivery up North in permanent pissing rain - they would be off for months with pneumonia.

Send a gaffer out on a 4 1/2 hour delivery up North in snow & ice - we'd be going to the funeral/lamnting the broken bones the ice caused.

Send a gaffer out on a 4 1/2 hour delivery up North in Summer in burning Sun. Skin cancer galore.

This idea is so stupid it's untrue, but there again, we are talking Royal Mail which is run by idiots with no knowledge of laws in the real world, only the "truths" their idiot masters give them to believe.
