Full.time staff working new hours

Post by roadrunner bill »

Full time staff in delivery offices are now expected to work
48 hours 10 mins a week... by force.. from previous seasonal variation hours....

Working the new way of working DM26

I googled this... and it states that no one can work more than 48 hours a week by law.... unless they opt out....

And is breaking the law.....

Can anyone clarify this please....

Yes. The 48 hours limit is usually over a 17 week period and it's 48 hours average per week. I think in your case the employee will have a few weeks off in that time. That'll drop the average making it legal.

Is this in a DO where DM26 has been implemented?

Is this the (what is described in the gumpf they've pushed out) 2 in 5 for existing banked units only.

So each duty gets a week off periodically (Wally week?).

So the 48 hr pw issue is worked out over a 17 week period, which brings the average weekly hours worked down.

DId your office vote for this duty pattern? Then I'd say you've (as in collective you) have agreed to this.
