Hi I have a condition job offer with another company going through at the moment (not getting to excited untill it becomes unconditional)
I am wondering if I will be owed anything by R.M on exit (holiday pay) etc
Will I have an exit interview?
That kind of thing
Thanks

You will be owed holiday pay if you have used less leave than your pro rata accrued leave at final day of service. Would suggest you screen shot your balance as they often accidentally on purpose forget to pay outstanding leave owed.

Hopefully. Be sure to tell them how they've completely screwed this entire job up.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

There's no end of job interview, nothing at all from manager or Royal mail.. Just goodbye and on to the next newbie to be thrown into the chaos.. you will get any holiday pay owed or and hours they still owe you..

You may owe them if you have taken too much holiday pro rata, which they will expect you to pay back. No leaving interview, let’s be honest if you are on a legacy contract they just want you out the door!

As per other replies yes you should receive any outstanding pro rata holiday pay, I think there is supposed to be some sort of exit interview/conversation with your manager but in reality that probably won't happen as they couldn't give a f**k.

I also had nothing at all from my Manager, no messages, or a chat to ask why, just a message from him through the union rep saying that if I wanted to go, I could go immediately. So I did. I was quite surprised how I was treated, and the poor experience as a new starter is an understatementfadetogrey63 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2026, 19:57There's no end of job interview, nothing at all from manager or Royal mail.. Regarding holiday pay,I am trying to understand how many weeks I will have earn't,we have picked our full 5 weeks for 2026/27
So will I have zero pay owed to me as we are at the start of a new holiday year or will I have five weeks owed as I have already put in the hours to get my weeks?
Our office lists our time in hours rather than days or weeks so it all a bit confusing tbh

Re: What to expect from Royal Mail on leaving
Assuming you've taken all this years leave you'll be owed nothing if you left this week as you don't start to accrue it until next week, so I think for example if you had to stay until the end of April then presumably you'd be owed approximately a 12th of your entitlement.Redshadow wrote: ↑23 Mar 2026, 14:57Regarding holiday pay,I am trying to understand how many weeks I will have earn't,we have picked our full 5 weeks for 2026/27
