Career path

Are new starters really gonna stick around for 3 years to get brought upto legacy wages I personally think its way too long of a wait. That's coming from a new starter that's 3 years in September.

If you want a career (in the old fashioned sense of the word) I'd find another job.

One of the few reasons I still do this job is because I've had a career elsewhere and am very fortunate to be receiving a pension from that career.
There is no career path in RM.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Some of us patiently waited 18 years to be made up to FT! It would have been never if thirty people ahead of us on seniority hadn't chucked it after the strikes, so maybe the company will be forced to bring that forward a bit when they find all their 'legacy' staff have bid them smell you later.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?
