Re: Cwu talks
Talks conclude/extend on the 16th March.
Then a wait for about 4 days for the rest of us to find out the details once the executive ponder over it.

Re: Cwu talks
The business is not interested like the last time. Simon & Co tried to walk over the union and to be honest they were half way there.
It's annoying that the new owner once he taken over the business last year, that he was listening and talks were very positive that was coming from Dave Ward. Right now the tides are changing and it could become a tsunami.
Not sure what road the union can take if talks are breaking down. We all know how striking didn't have an impact and for it to have an impact this time around, the striking days would have to be longer and everyone would have to work to rule meaning no overtime.

Re: Cwu talks
The CWU know that the issue with strikes is that there is a varied appetite for them, hence they were talking about local strikes, which to me seems crazy.Duesouth wrote: ↑Yesterday, 17:24The business is not interested like the last time. Re: Cwu talks
Once again the CWU has hailed a new boss as 'someone we can really work with', only to discover a few months down the road that he's just like the old boss, only a bit worse. This happens every single time!
Křetínský is has proved he's actually worse than Thompson, who was himself worse than Back (who was at least honest about the contempt he held his workforce in), who in turn was worse than Greene. Who was f***ing awful.

Do yourselves a favour, leave the CWU and get your £15 each month back.
The CWU have absolutely no say in what Royal Mail do and never will have.

Re: Cwu talks
Well Martin said on video around 10 days ago that Royal Mail had done “something positive” in the talks the week before. Based on Dave, Martins and the union in generals history of spouting absolute fanciful garbage we will probably be balloted for strike action at the end of this month.

Whence might that feeling have emerged? The last ones went so well!
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

Prolonging the talks any further isn’t in RMs interest - they want change one way or another ASAP
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Change is what they want to reduce the workforce to reduce expenditure.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑Yesterday, 19:07I doubt itpostmanplod2026 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 18:57then it will be we are having to extend the talks another month, then it will be september still talks talks

Changes are already happening in our office without the unions involvement. Management lied about changes within our office recently being agreed with the union.
Parcels and first class is the main focus and everything else is irrelevant. D2D's should be delivered within the contracted week but we all know that it could take weeks before its all clear.

Re: Cwu talks
The latest CWU update today suggests the Government are taking an active role in the talks, you can only hope that means RM will have to make some concessions or they'll be seen as being totally uncooperative by the Government, who still hold the golden share.
