Someone in my office has asked for her round to be reduced due to an uneven workload in the office and rather than name rounds or individuals whose rounds are much lighter she has asked for a comparison based on PDA actuals but the manager has said that some of the PDAs are not giving a reading I think it’s a rubbish excuse so he can protect his favourites. Could it be true though?

I'd say he's talking shite, in the extremely unlikely event he isn't lying then surely it's a simple issue of getting the PDAs replaced, most likely they can't be bothered to upset the apple cart as the saying goes.

By doing that way she hasn’t got to name people the data should show the times, mileage walked etc for each round

Just how 'even' does this person want things though? It could end up opening up a can of worms across the whole office, as there could be even worse duties than hers that get fixed first. Not to mention that some duties could appear easier, with their being a health/adjustment reason for it.

I remember a few years back the CWU said that all future revisions would be based around PDA actuals, I highly doubt that ever was or will put into practice

Instead the last revisions were based on nothing at all. They just ripped duties out and slapped the label strips onto the remaining frames. To be fair, now they're all impossible to complete.

Utter Pish!.The PDA Actuals are based on the when the PDA breaches the GeoFence around the D.O.The only reason the PDA won’t show how long the route is if the PDA is turned off and the battery taken out.Sounds like the COM doesn’t want to open the can of worms which obviously exist.

Not that this was their reason for saying it but it also protects her from protentional abuse from the easier duty holders.
