No letters for weeks, duties with 200+ parcels

Post by John Gaita »

My office is fully staffed. But there are areas where people haven't received any letters for two and three weeks. Shared duties now receive between 200 and 300 parcels. Posties spend the whole day delivering them.

Many offices this bad?

yep out of control, cwu should hang their head in shame, giving us no working conditions, no fair pay for a fair days work, all to much chaotic working conditions on a daily basis

From RM's own official list there's 156 offices failing at the moment but there is obviously many more so I think the answer to your question is YES

I'm not sure you can blame the CWU for RM deciding that they are only interested in delivering Tracked during peak?

Going to be getting another Ofcom fine by the sounds of it & we've just got a deal with Ofcom to deliver 2nd class mail every other day. :Applause

The RM2000 frames are just not suitable for the volume of parcels that are given to us every day now.

Something needs to be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt. Both the CWU and the RM should hang there heads in shame for the unprecedented amount of stuff that were all expected to deliver.

Parcels are priority over mail. But funny royal mail said a while ago that wasn't the case. Hire more staff instead of sticking to a shoe string budget then the mail would probably get delivered on time.

That's the whole year, not just peak.

I wonder if RM will turn the DTS off nationally on the night of the 23rd to make all CSS machines release absolutely everything.

Exactly.
Our DOM told us today parcels have already peaked (while we're wading through them knee deep  ) so we can clear all the mail by Christmas Eve as cards will drop right off now :left:
They are taking the piss, they can't really believe what they are told to say can they?
Anyway, smile and leave them to clear the frame on Christmas Eve if they want, I'll be off home to the family at knocking off time :wave
