Not surprised. Last night it we had to take 6 (SIX) wagons to a single office to clear it of outbound tracked that had just been put into the system. When we got it into the mail center there was barely any room for it.

Not to mention the other offices in the area that had the same problem.

Given parcel business is generally up 10% at RM it's hardly surprising tomorrow will be the busiest day ever given most retailers seem to be offering BF discount deals this year, although consumers only have so much to spend so the run up to Xmas can't be as manic as tomorrow.

Remember to check the Robin app for your daily dose of toxic positivity before stepping into the delivery office tomorrow. You may be drowning in parcels on an already impossible delivery but the Ops manager in the midlands is wearing a Christmas jumper and handing out mince pies, all is well.

No problem, apparently we've got a couple of non ops peeps coming (I think that's what they call them) the same two as last year they got sent off with 10 parcels all for the same street and returned 2 hours later, I s**t you not it's true :left:

Yes, I am ready for a record breaking number of days mail in the frame! Two more days and we'll beat Peak 2025's glorious achievement.

Whilst I'm here I predict 2026 will top 2025, and 2027 will top 2026, and so on. Note that the non-negligible chance of WW3 will have minimal effect on some customers' habits.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

Oh well, let's see what today brings, at least we have the joy and excitement of the daily Xmas draw, the joy of winning a mug or umberalla for all your hard work!

The CWU have been fully involved at every level in the plans for peak 25. It's not a secret. Your reps had ample opportunity to ensure that the workload is resourced so there should be no issues.

Wasn’t too bad. The shitshow is always around the corner but it’s above our pay grade to deal with when it lands.

This what I’m hoping for…

I think it’ll stay busy for the next/10 days but surely it will start to even out a bit after that? If not I may need to ask the public where they’re getting their magic money trees from!
