Overkill. Having a forward facing one - ok. But recording us is ridiculous. What for - to check we aren't snorting cocaine?

A few elastic bands over the lense should sort out any issues.

No way would I want a camera facing on me all day, esp if it recorded audio as well,
thats just to much into my own privacy space

If this really does happen they will be 💯 recording audio as well. Every dashcam has a mic now and you have to intentionally switch audio off in the settings.

I thought the CWU wouldn’t agree to driver facing cameras years ago? Sure this was mooted and rejected years ago! I know things change in time but thought it was a red line for invasion of privacy. Forward ones I guess are ok but not driver ones. 🤷‍♂️

Is there not a camera on both sides of the PDA? If it was sat in its cradle?

Dashcams record audio PDAs don't. It'll be interesting to see if RM do start installing/requesting Dashcams within the fleet

If we can have a camera in the managers office and access the video maybe we can trial it for a bit.
