Hi , I'm back on your forum !
We are trying on our french forum ,to make a list of the advantages you can get working as a postman .
In France, when you are a postman , you can have :

- about £40 reduction on sports license
- £10 reduction to go to cultural sites
- 20% reduction for internet connection
- free credit card
- current account remunerated

On the other hand, we buy stamps, parcel etc ... at the same price as customers .

What about yours advantages in RM ?
I'm sorry but my english dont make progress since my last visit at RMC . Congratulation for the new website !

In our Monthly propaganda news letter thing there is a list of so called benefits, they really are crap for a company this size.
Maybe someone who has their collection in a binder(there are such people) can list a few.

Welcome back btw

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I dont had the correct term : its a cheque account , witch in France dont earn you interests (I think that is the same thing in UK) so when you works at La Poste, your cheque account, if it is at The Postal Bank (La Banque Postale), give you interests I think its about , 3.5 or 4 %, .I think it's a good thing ,

1/2 a spice more than we get - (sorry spice slang for sweets here)

Do the banks in France charge you for having a "cheque account"? In the UK they don't.
