proposed new delivery times ?

Post by mailman71 »

we are hearing more and more about these new delivery times ie 3-00 last letter in town,4-00 rurals including a saturday .
is this an attempt to pee all the post people off and maybe drive a few out the door, what can possibley be gained by asking postie's to work saturday afternoons till 4-00.
a lot of posties enjoy saturday afternoon's either at the football or any sports or have time with their kids which they dont have during the week when they are at school,i cant see leighton or crozier working on a saturday afternoon why should we.

Surely any such changes would apply to weekdays only? Isn't Saturday supposed to be a 'significantly earlier finish'?

Personally it would suit me to start later on a weekday but I know the vast majority would be against.

By the time RM finally finish doing us over we'll think that 4.00pm is a significantly earlier finish!
It really does take the p, the only reason I took this job 8 years ago now, was that I finished at 10.15.

Crozier has wanted this for some time - but previously he's been persuaded by others that it was ? unfeasible .
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

ROYALMAIL 48 HOUR

Post by k979aaa »

I have a NEW idea why not deliver the mail two day's after posting of course some will complain but they are not our (customers) are they?. And the competition is not delivering any mail yet we do it all next day at our cost!. A small buisness's only get their mail in the early afternoon anyway so pushing the time back to 3pm to 4 pm it's only one hour's differance they will have plenty of time if they get their secretary's trained in an efficient manner to do it all in one hour before the postoffice close's twenty miles away!. Hell why don't we deliver it all the next day at six in the morning like we used to do seven year's ago but only in twenty four hour's!.
