The fleece with the velcro/zip pocket are one of the newer fleeces, the old ones were terrible, was always loosing stuff out of the pockets as they were so shallow.

Uniform.

Post by Wiltshireboy »

I think the new boots that we have been issued with are PANTS!! The heels fall apart after 3 or 4 months. I have been told I cant have a new pair, till I have had my current pair, (that Im not wearing, `cos the heel split) for a whole year. I have 5 or so months to go.Im currently wearing my hiking boots,(plus they are more comfy!)
If the army was issued uniform in this way, the outcry in the press would be phenomenal!.
Thats it, rant over, back to my brew! :cuppa

what boots/shoes...?

the shoes i was issued with have a little sheet in the box saying how to use them
the sheet says about how they are basically the same ones used by the police and fire brigade.
they have the Royal Mail rubber label in the outer side of the sole/heel.. the bloody things fell out

god i hope they dont really go through with the red fleece/uniform idea

i mean look at the state of some of the mail bags after a few weeks use...

atleast the navy/grey hides a bit of wear

After about 10 of us complained that our new trainer type shoes were falling apart and splitting our DOM informed us that unfortunately we'd all been supplied with the indoor version of the new shoe!!
never even knew there was an indoor/outdoor option, apparently the difference is the outdoor ones have a steel toecap.
He has now ordered us all outdoor ones.

Why can't we get a little pull out type thing in the Courier showing us what uniform is actually available??
