mail sort 3

Post by JACK THE RIPPER »

now if im correct on Saturday's we don't have to deliver mail sort 3.the question i have is how do you identify mail sort 3.what is mail sort 2 or 1.and why is walk sort mail sort differnt..no body in my DO knows the answer.

on saterday i got 2 trays first thing of mail sort mail on a round ive never done before and was doing blind so after a tray and half i put the mail sort to one side when proper mail turned up.ask my m8 next to me(10 yrs service) if i could leave this he said i dont see why not its mail sort.so thats what i did.no sooner had i bagged up when two others came over and a debate started.nobody knows the differance and till i see it writen down somewhere im leaving um..well obviously when i got back the manager had been back and told our supervisor/first aider/union rep super employee that i should go back out and deliver it.even he couldnt tell me the difference just that their is one.he said if its in the rack on its own it can stay if theirs more than one i should deliver..so i said it either has to be delivered or it doesnt which is it.....
he left mumbling incoherently(like this story)

any one help with a description or preferably a link????????

i would ask alan but last time he took a week to reply..lol

Anything with an M or a BB stays on a Saturday.

MS1&2 have 1 or 2 in the corner whilst MS3 have an M in the corner.

It's NO MAILSORT ON SATURDAY, it's not whatever MS we want you to take out on Saturday, the rules are very simple - if it has an M in the right hand corner (or a BB) then it stays otherwise it goes out.

Moved to blue shirts.

I'm sure the proper agreement is that any mailsort we get in the walksort bundles which seems to be s**t loads has to go.
Down our way we leave if we want to everything with the M on.
Most DIMS aint got a clue about 1-2-3.Or about the proper agreement.

We dont get to leave anything as they insist we have a clear office policy, i have told them i will not take m3 stuff out, but was told i would be done for wilfull delay, the rep says to just take everything out that they say or on the light saturdays or they will bring everyone back to the office and sort to their time, i dont want to be the one that plays into the som's hands by getting everyone brought back

It's been noticed in our office that the manual MS3 doesn't seem to arrive on Saturdays now. Theres a fare bit in the coding boxes and they seem to be increasing in number on Saturdays. Probably something to do with the extra half hour attendance we have on that day.

We've shorter attendance on Saturdays so we need to leave the MS3 to cope and we've longer Mondays to cope with all the extra MS.
