deduction in wages
Hi all, looked at payslip on people app and next Fridays payslip is there, but its totally bizarre, a full payslip off little amounts relating to arrears for all of august dates, then at bottom it says "other payment -£261, wtf and why isn't it explained what this is, others in my office have varying amounts deducted, anyone got a clue, i know strike day will be deducted, but am definitely not on that kind of money per day, if I was I wouldn't be striking :)

Re: deduction in wages
Just looked at mine and looks like they’ve paid me arrears of basic pay again (just like they did for us all with the 2% the other month)....and then taken it all back.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: deduction in wages
Just checked. Looks like the 2% adjustment for every week’s worth of overtime backdated to April plus the strike deduction. Looks a complete mess on the page as ever.

Suspecting the vermin have possibly withdrawn their 2%....if true they're not worth working for

Re: deduction in wages
Does anyone have the letter/info sent to us along with the original 2% back in July?

Re: deduction in wages
Could just be an adjustment to the arrears then. None of my OT from this week is in this payslip so hopefully in the next one or I’ll be claiming the hours back somehow.aiden01 wrote: ↑27 Aug 2022, 18:23Just checked mine strike day not taken as we were told yday they will take 26th aug an 31st aug on 9th sept.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑27 Aug 2022, 17:58Just checked. Re: deduction in wages
It looks to me that they’ve taken the lump sum back, then given it to us following calculations of 2% of our wages since the start of the tax year and that going forward every week will include the 2% rise. Looks like the weekly pay rate has risen 2%.

Re: deduction in wages
It has been a long time, but I do believe the plan was "lump sum, then we'll work out who needs more and less by the end of august and fix it". I think it was generally expected that the 200 was going to be enough for the worst paid, 25hour contracted, so no one should've seen reductions, but the payslips won't print to 2 pages. (I do not and will not, have the people app installed on my personal phone).
