Senior Operational Changes

Good afternoon,
As we move into the New Year we are today announcing a series of changes to the senior leadership in Operations.

After around three years with the company, Achim Dünnwald, Chief Operating Officer (COO), will be stepping down from his role with Royal Mail.

A permanent new COO will be announced soon. In the meantime, Ricky McAulay will be interim COO until the new COO joins, at which point he will step back into his critical priorities of building the operational culture and capabilities we need.

The Technology function will continue to be managed day to day by Chris Bennett, IT Director, Service Delivery, working closely with the rest of the Technology leadership team. Technology will report to Ricky on the Executive Board.

The two Service Delivery Directors, Jane Simpson and Shiona Rolfe, will also be leaving the business and all Service Delivery Leaders (SDLs) will report directly to Ricky.

This will give single national oversight of all operational issues and will give the SDLs higher degrees of autonomy and accountability to focus on performance priorities in their areas.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Achim, Jane and Shiona for their contribution to Royal Mail and wish them all the best for the future.

Normally when RM or the CWU talk about culture they actually mean bullying and harassment, so its good to know that Ricky has the official responsibility for it.

and it sounds about right that the bloke whos been given his job ( for now anyway ) was the same man who put a statement out on christmas eve to dims to get rid of all the fulltime contracts , the company is a disgrace imo , and who was the other 2 ? never heard of them , maybe a job for bullinger then considering everything is rosy sat around the table .
