Scan them individually and press as delivered etc. Then the system will pick up multiple scans.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes postman. I scanned one sent it then scanned the other. You wouldn't think the NHS would try a con?

Beat you, I had 27 covid boxes all same name & address & scan, had to scan them individually, he opened the door the eleventh one, we had a laugh, said he’d only ordered one, shut the door & I carried on scanning & posting, no wonder there is a shortage :chuckle

Yeah loads of them. Don’t bother with submitting and scanning the next, never been instructed to do that.

Wouldn't be a con for such a bulk posting, postage costs will be generated through the contract by total bulk volume or
weight not the individual tracked scans.

That makes no sense and I told my LM as much when instructed to do that. If I scan the barcode 15 times does it magically account for 15 non-existent packets?
The machine stops.

Apparently, it only charges the customer 15 times if its received 15 delivery scans, 15 ready for delivery scans, 15 inward and outward scans etc. So it relies on everyone scanning the same barcode for multiple items throughout the pipeline. If its just 15 delivery scans then it won't charge extra. There's a load of flaws with this, surely there is a better way?

A customer who received 4 from me told me that he had ordered one, 2 weeks prior and had an email to say it was delayed and did he still want it. He clicked the link. This happened a further 2 times, so he was sent 4 of them. He also said "no wonder there's a shortage."

It’s not revenue protect though is it. You’ve no idea how bulk posting works obviously

Of course it is, two items have the same tracking label on, thats not allowed, I do the same for any parcel that has duplicate labels on.
