Optima health

Post by Urbanbadger99 »

Hi have been recently discharged from hospital with COVID 19. At home now rehabilitating to recover lung function.I’ve got a text saying I’m booked in for a phone appointment next week with Optima occupational health.
Firstly have they taken over from Atol, and secondly where do I stand with sickness. Thanks in advance for any help.

Optima will assess your current condition and report back to Royal Mail.
There is No Way Optima can make recovery time predictions nor can your GP.
Your GP will sympathise and will keep giving you Sick notes ,only you know if you are capable of returning to work.

My advice is take your time and Do Not rush back or feel pressured into doing so.
Only go back when you are ready.

All the best.

BTW Covid /recovery doesn’t not count against your attendance record.

Thank for you taking your time to reply, just seemed a bit strange getting a txt message, plus the change of company.
