Grievance and bullying and harassment appeal processes change

Post by POSTMAN »

Simon Thomson

We're gonna make a change of the appeal so that any appeal will be heard by an independent operational manager at a more senior level out of the area, so a change to the appeal is what we're really looking into, hopefully by the end of November

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

So still marking their own homework, hardly 'independent' seeing as senior level management are already so adept at denial and obfuscation. By the way Simon, the correct grammar is "We are going to...".

It can only be independent if it is dealt with outside of RM in my opinion.

And that Manager will have worked with each other 10 years ago, drink down the local pub Sat night & been on a number of holidays together over the years!
How about giving the appeal to someone in blues, with intelligence or would that be considered bias!!!

It's not really `new`, it's what use to happen on all stage 3's or B+H cases years ago  , then that Moya came in and said that all grievance etc could be handled in area, which of course meant that the Area mamager would just get somebody from another office nearby to the complainant to handle it, which as we all know they all know one another and have probably all mixed together at some stage.

Of course even out of area investigators :left: have probably mixed with your screws at some functions or other it's still going to be far from independent.
And most of these meeting can now be done remotely on Zoom, in fact I was in one the other week.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Waste of time unless fully independent, its been an unfair process for the 41 years i have been working for RM. Wake up Simon listen to your workers.

He's far too busy listening and learning about the 126 things that these superhuman managers have got to do
