What's the situation with the regulator. As we all know, Royal Mail don't care about delivering letters any longer, it's a monopoloy market, they are happy to just take for granted, while prioritising parcels.

In our D.O. failing to deliver letters is now a standard business model. We regularly fail multiple Duties per day, oftentimes letters will sit in frames for days before they are delivered.

I'd love to know what OFCOM thinks of this, I know that things were relaxed during Covid. When are things supposed to get "back to normal"?

Should we be encouraging customers to make complaints to OFCOM?

Given that the regulator and threat of fines were the only thing ensuring the USO was adhered too, when (if ever) is this likely to return?

Given these improvements, and in light of recent reductions in the level of legal restrictions across the UK, we consider that the regulatory emergency period should be treated as coming to an end on 31 August 2021. Accordingly, normal regulatory arrangements will apply from 1 September 2021. Our approach to compliance monitoring will continue to be pragmatic and proportionate, taking account of any relevant matters beyond Royal Mail’s control that impact on its performance, including any continuing impacts of the pandemic.

I've never heard a manager say Tracked parcels weren't the priority?

Although most frames in my office are cleared on a daily basis, as seem to be frames other local offices I've visited. I wonder what the percentage of letter left on frames on a daily basis is across the business, does Ofcom take into consideration the business as a whole or individual offices/areas?

Is there going to be a massive recruitment campaign before the 1st September to get the staff required to deliver the stuff?

By the end of October, we will have reduced our delivery office managers’ workload, including a reduction in policies they have to follow from 212 to less than 20, so they can spend more of their time working with their team on the floor and focusing on their customers.

Note to self, bump the commit to deliver and reporting standards thread.
