SKY:200 MILLION D2D'S.

Post by POSTMAN »

Nearly sorted that Sky will be pushing out 200M D2D's in 2008.

From April they will be pushing out D2D's in high volumes across most parts of the UK.
Everything down to post codes will be measured in terms of it's effectivness in gaining new sales and watnots for their packages ect.

So boys and girls be on your best behaviour with them, and get ready for the mass influx of Sky mags!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Aren't they already doing this? Every other week the D2Ds seem to contain a Sky leaflet and normally at the time when they are sending addressed items to ex-subscribers. I have a novel idea for Sky. Stop wasting all the paper and CUT your subscription charges or let me pay for only the channels I want to watch. How many shopping channels does one person need? Seems symptomatic of the way big business is run in this country. Is AL still on the board of Sky?

SKY has to be the biggest purveyor of shite, Britain has ever seen. On a sunday, no matter what paper you read, when you open your
paper, a leaflet from SKY invariably falls to the floor, fook it, you think to yourself, before picking up the offending piece of garbage and binning it, but
hey, a resounding success for SKY, you know they're the twats responsible for having bits of shite stuck between the pages of your paper, because
their name is gaudily printed in huge letters across the junk item, and this seems to be a weekly occurrence, well done, SKY marketing team, cnuts. :evil/mad
And if this onslaught of unwanted shite 'aint enough, we, posties, are forced to deliver SKY's worthless garbage almost every second week as a
door-to-dustbin. :evil/mad The w*****s responsible ought to be lined up and shot, slowly, first a bullet in the left arm, then a bullet in the right arm,
then a bullet in the left leg, then break off for a quick fag, bacon sarnie, then back to the old grind stone, a bullet in the right leg, then, errmm, call it a
day, job satisfaction truly felt, and leave the SKY barsteward to rot. :evil/mad

Oh well, at least it keeps us in a job. :evil/mad :whistle :wave

How much of a budget is reasonable for advertising?

Post by rhino49 »

Domino's Pizzas are not bad but could be arguably a lot less expensive. They currently send out a leaflet (dtd) approximately every two weeks plus an addressed mail item regularly to anyone who is a past customer plus general mail items plus leaflets in free newspapers plus independent leafleting - this is really over the top advertising which must be a large part of the cost of the product. The Sky/Virgin/BT competition for broadband and other services also produces immense amounts of paper advertising and I am sure the experiences of people on here can produce many other examples.

Save the planet - save the paper - save the bullshit - and cut your f***ing prices to a public who don't really want all this crap

Hold on POSTMAN, he might have digital freeview.....you only need to dodge Sky Three ( piece of piss with the "quality" of their programming ), or he might have Virgin - it's still a Sky free zone, innit?
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Good idea Postman - but we may need to drop "f***ing" as a buzzword - it's not unusual enough !!!
