Got told once by a manager that I'd be taken down the conduct code for not completing my duty when I'd told
him I'd be cutting off. It was a really heavy day just before xmas 2002 , no way once I'd prepped my walk ,
I say my walk , it
wasn't, I was on reserve at that time, would I have finished to my time. He said I could be done for wilfully
delaying the mail, I
said Boll*cks , and asked for my rep , despite our old rep being about as much use as a chocolate fireguard ,
this manager immediately
changed his tune and told me to bundle up and leave in the frame what I thought I wouldn't be able to deliver.
I did , and some
more besides.

Not so much bullying , but that stupid c.nt was harrassing me , and I was already feeling a bit stressed out. Still
makes me madder
than hell just thinking about it !!!!

Goes on all the time in one form or another by managers who think they know the rule.They don't Union Reps do .
Always counter the B&H with your rep involved we have the power to stop it .If your reps Cr*p then get him/her changed .
If you want to know how just ask youe area delivery rep

At plymouth mdec everything had become too politically correct.
its getting like we're all to scared to talk because you dont know when the person you though was a friend will suddenly turn around and put in a complaint against you. People will take collegues down the bulling and harrasement procedure for anything they can (even if they have to make something up) - and the few genuine cases, they still get ignored. I've ended up moving shift because i was being bullied by a collegue.

In south west and harassment and bullying by management has slightly eased off now that ballot is here. watch this space for more. Lapsing rounds; harassing sick; veiled threats of discipline; votes where only some got a say. It's all happening here. HAD ENOUGH! fIGHTING BACK.

its all a bunch of bollocks the system they have to deal with bullying and harassment

take my advice never go the aid of a colleague cos it only comes round and bites you on the ass

actually pity you cant pick two on this poll as I have been at the receiving end of B&H from Management and customers. One customer actually threw some money at me coz RM charged him for underpaid postage on a Christmas card.

magement do it everyday in an underhand way, allocation of duties, overtime allotment etc. You have to learn to be as sly as them. I would class it as VICTIMISATION

a friend at my office was harrassed by another postie, he stole his phone, slashed his tyres, twice, keyed his car, smashed his windscreen, made literally hundreds of silent or abusive anonomous phone calls, and put cat shite on his work bench, most of which was done in work hours and in uniform. When the culprit was arrested and had admited all to a colleague who quite rightly told the dom and the police he was suspended from duty. Royal Mail would not sack him because it was one mans word against another so they just let it drift until he eventually resigned rather than face the rest of us.

The moral. . . . bully and harrass as much as you like as long as you don't get witnessed by a manager they don't want the paperwork. (obviously that's sarcasm, I would never condone bullying of any sort)

We're always told it's zero tolerance. . . . . . . . rubbish, as usual they're just covering their backs and don't give a damn about us
