Annual Leave sheets 2021-22
our office have still not returned our holiday sheets for 2021-22!
We do not know what annual leave has been confirmed of that we applied for back in october, and our holiday year starts in 2 weeks! ffs
Is this acceptable?
Our rep says its being sorted, but has said that since nov 20!
Ive been told the dom has said with regard to the delays, we cant go anywhere anyway, i cannot confirm this but good source.
We may wish to arrange same week as partners, arrange deliveries of matterials for projects etc etc
I know of 2 other do's in this predicament what can we do when no one will do anything? is this acceptable...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Annual Leave sheets 2021-22
I have for years paid for extra al, increased from 4.5 weeks approx to 6 weeks, we have 3 weeks on the app, but been told to ignore it as its not confirmed, even if it says so....
So as it stands we have no a/l confirmed, and it starts in 2 weeks time, people have a/l requested but not yet confirmed, for apr/may/june/july and onwards but cant plan holidays, be that at home with partner etc or projects that require materials and planning, or booked holidays (uk or abroad, rules allowing)
its our a/l not rm's and we should be given plenty of notice of confirmation or not of planned a/l, we do have lives....

thats right but it will only appear on the app after your d.om. or any of his henchmen put the leave in the computer so itll appear on the app
i think the original posters problem is leave isnt sorted yet which is out of order
we pushed our rep and dom and had ours sorted last october

Hi I am the original op
and thanks for all contributions.
App has been downloaded, and some, less than half a/l has been added. BUT we have been told that NONE of the a/l added to the app is confirmed, though it is shaded in the confirmed colour underneath, we have been told its a trial and for trial purposes only, definately not confirmed and should be ignored.
So as of today, we have no a/l confirmed for 2021-22 at all.
I was hoping that someone might know where we stand in this matter? can this go on indefianetly? do we have a right to be informed of our a/l leave dates and do we have some right to advanced notice?
What can we do about this as we have tried the union rep, the dom, the office staff etc etc but got nowhere
Every week its just brushed under the carpet, they are on the case!
As long as the mail is out the door they dont care, f*ck everyone, thanks for nothing, covid? what covid, and dont dare come back early or we will send you back out to face more chances of catching covid!
are there any rules, agreements being broken here? help please? any union guys on here can help?

Your rep needs to go to the area rep, has he done that? If he has and still nothing then apart from your rep possibly being a div, your area rep is as well...possibly.Our rep says its being sorted, but has said that since nov 20!
Stating the obvious, it's a piss take and your rep 'should' be aware of those LTB's I posted.

I get it's tough to read and to take in, and to then take it in and shove it under your reps's and managers's nose.sardonicus wrote: ↑20 Mar 2021, 00:22Hi

And yes what I posted constitutes to an agrement being broken.
As I previously said your rep is a div, a f***ing div along with your manager.
You need to get your rep to go higher. Has HE gone to the area rep about this?
We can't do no more on here as we are not there.
Can you contact your area rep as well, but be aware you go over the head of a useless rep then he may get the hump with you.
