When back to two in a van ?

Post by eastie »

Our area is down to 30 cases out of 100,000 for COVID.
How long will it be before we are back to two in a van ?

And if van sharing isn't going to be happening anytime soon, how are the national revisions going to be done, when you have none drivers going out for 4 hours with just a couple of bundles of mail?

It's mainly the walking postperson that are in a hurry to get back to van share, in most cases they don't want to help with the growing amount of parcels, just want to deliver the declining letters,

I don't think many want to go back to the van sharing, it just causes unnecessary stress. The pouch boxes were much more efficient in my opinion, and would like to see a switch back to them, but unlikely to happen.

Way too late for that. Locally they've all either been removed or have rusted away

Until vaccine rollout for me.

Off topic
New vans carry two passengers and a driver. I think three person deliveries are on the cards.
(Two walkers doing mail and driver doing parcels)
Which would be reasonable assumption judging by amount of parcels we are getting.

They don't really carry three unless you're on very intimate terms with the other two.
We've had them for a couple of years.
It's a basic layout in vans these size.

So then you have the inefficiencies of 2 in a van, and multiply by half again.
Good plan.

It will not matter one iota whether you ask this question today, tomorrow, a thousand times a day. Van sharing will return when Up Above says so. End. Nobody on here knows the answer so a pointless question to ask.

They forgot to mention the MK2 HCT taken out by the non driver was full to the brim with parcels, having left some small non-Tracked in the frame and some larger non-Tracked parcels by the frame. :d'oh!
