I know their are a few i and t's to cross in this deal but when will we get the backpay to April @ 2.7% and how much are we expecting after tax on a full time basic wage?
That is of course if we vote YES to it

Everyone's tax is different? everyone's wage is different? everyone is different accept it! Best way is divide your wage by 100 and times it by 102.7% as for tax who knows we have all deductions even pensions are very different. Back to calculation divide your pay slip the last week you got zero overtime and get the gross wage divide it by 100 and times it till it get to the net wage it does work I did it. Next do the same with your new wage of 2.7% and divide once again. Or just 2.7% of net pay so about £7 part time and £12 full time.

You will have to work from your start time to your finish time and have a couple of paid breaks along the way. What's the problem. Go out there and get £12/hr for no stress if you want or can do.

I don't think there are many if any jobs out there like ours for £12/hr .That's not tough, just honest. Life is tough anyway. Too many just want stuff handed to them on a plate.

Why put do people come on here about the culture of the business and why It needs changing and it does. And you drive a coach and horses through it by making swiping statements about our hard work people get paid to run the county and cannot do it for £155,000 people get paid as vice chancellors and town hall chief councillors get £350,000 a year HELL even RM pay people millions and millions and millions. Why It's all because of YOU!

That's because we have a strong Union that fights for us.
It fights against the attitude that "life is tough, just deal with it" .
You know, the kind of attitude that allows companies like Amazon to treat their workers like dirt?

Re: payrise backpay question
In answer to the original question.
Take your usual take-home weekly pay.
Multiply it by the number of weeks since April (currently 36 weeks).
Then multiply THAT number by 0.027
It will give a *very rough* estimate. For me (35hrs) it's about 300 quid or so.

Re: payrise backpay question
I estimate for full-timers around the £465 mark (before tax) assuming its agreed & paid at the end of Jan 2021 (£12 x 39 weeks).
Pro-rata for less hours worked. More if u done lots more overtime over 38 hours.

Re: payrise backpay question
I'm convinced responses like this are from management, if you are a postie you're clearly very ill informed and gullible.
I don't think there are many jobs out there for £10/hr... which is what our take home pay is, that are as physically demanding, time pressured or mentally stressful (especially if you're a reserve getting shifted from pillar to post every day), jobs leaving your body a wreck after 20 years service, with another 20 years working life still to go.
And I'm not some bleeding heart leftie or workshy layabout who ''wants everything handed to me on a plate'' but the fact is all these people with jobs on what appears to be lower pay than ours actually have at least the same if not more disposable income than us if they know how to fully exploit the ridiculously generous tax credits system.

Our take home pay is not £10 an hour.

completely uncalled for - it is not acceptable to body shame anyone, even when you disagree with their position. I would expect more from someone who has been on here for such a long time.k979aaa wrote: ↑01 Jan 2021, 20:16That's a tough response from you have you had too many chocolate biscuits today already? by the way does the fat make the stress go away? maybe you should help your staff instead of calling them!
