The silence speaks volumes for me. No real details have been given about any of the negotiations, its all just jargon and buzzwords. Which leads me to believe either they will agree an absolute shocking deal, or Royal mail are on the verge of telling them to do one and the Union will be back to rallying the troops on facebook for another ballot. This Christmas is going to be the worst ever haha

Yeah I'm thinking the same royal mail could just call CWU's bluff and how much support have they got now?

on one of the recent press releases DGS(P) implied that either Royal Mail is telling the CWU to keep quiet about recent negotiations or that the CWU are keeping quiet to quell speculation about the negotiations.

means nothing to me though, a trade union is mandated to keep its members informed of any dealings so hiding anything makes them untrustworthy.

Perhaps in keeping with the zeitgeist we should lock them all in a house and watch the negotiations live.
Sporadically we can vote out a negotiator we don't like?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Any prospective deal are presented to the relevant committees and if they pass muster then they are passed on to us for a ballot yeah or nay. I’m not sure why you need a piecemeal update of what is a complex set of negotiations, of which RM may have requested that they be done in camera untill a deal has been agreed in principle.

Basically means you have no right as a paying union member to any of the details being spoke about in the secret rooms, you also won’t get any of the leftover biscuits from said meeting. When/if an agreement is reached it will be written in legal jargon so us low level plebs can’t make sense of it, the only part that will be crystal clear is the £300 bung to gain acceptance from enough members to pass it. It’s all a stitch up every time.

Pro rata too.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
