We have been told that special delivery items (1pm) must be delivered correctly from friiday
Not sure if this is just our office or what?

As in by 1pm?
Nothing like that in our office. I'm still doing them after 2pm some days.

Still multiple walks failing daily at our DO. I’m struggling to see the 1pm deadline being reintroduced anytime soon

Service Update

Wednesday 2 September

Normal deliveries and collections should take place in all parts of the UK today. However, despite our best endeavours, some parts of the country may experience varying levels of delivery disruption, due to Coronavirus-related absences and necessary social distancing measures. Such as, reducing the number of people together in shared spaces and vehicles. We're sorry for any inconvenience. We're working hard to keep any delays to a minimum, while keeping our people and customers safe.

Royal Mail Logistics Network and Processing ReportChanges to Special Delivery Guaranteed

Due to increased absence levels, we’ve reviewed our timed guarantees for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am and 1pm services and will make the following changes.

For items posted from Tuesday 31 March 2020 onwards, our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9.00am the next working day will change to by 12.00pm the next working day*. Our guaranteed delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1.00pm will change to by 9.00pm the next working day*.

*Existing postcode exceptions apply.

We’ve been endeavouring to get them done in time for the last couple of weeks. Apparently the office was getting an unofficial failure marked against it if it’s delivered after 1pm.

Maybe Friday is the start if the official failures being logged?
