Stage 2 pending

Currently on a stage 1 , just got word from hospital for hernia op to correct long standing issue .
Will be off work for 6 weeks approximately , is this considered corrective surgery or will it automatically trigger stage 2 ?

well it IS corrective surgery but some gaffers will STILL try to issue.

any decent gaffer wouldn't issue but theres not many about. also you need a good rep in with you.

You might be off the stage 1 by the time you have your hernia op?
