Hammer toe time

Post by transporter03 »

Just wondering has anyone out there had surgery to straighten a hammer toe ?. I'm currently waiting for some insoles to be made in order to see whether they will ease the discomfort. Hopefully they will help to take the pressure off the ball of each foot and stop the toe rubbing on the shoe. As we all know the footwear provided probably hasn't helped much. Personally I think the past 9+ years on foot is catching up with a lot of us. In our office we have got 3 colleagues waiting on hip operations and not forgetting plantar fasciitis !.
I would appreciate any comments or advice from you all. Thankyou.

Hammer toe time

My kids have this! My older daughter had a knuckle removed on a toe and was laid up for around 4 weeks ish, for the 1st 2 weeks she stayed in her bedroom with her feet up as you're not allowed to do anything. After everything settled down her foot went back to normal.

My other daughter had insoles which looked like they would work but she couldn't get them into her shoes ( no way of getting a teen to wear clumpy shoes) she will probably have the surgery later on when she has time.

So there is hope!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
