Is there anyone know how long is the notice period for Royal Mail staff ?? I am working for 10 years .... many thanks

Depends on your contract they did change it so not having a go at you it was 1 week others are a month until you tell us we don't know.

Can you not just ask a union rep it is depended upon your contract which was signed by you and the employer!

I thought if someone was paid weekly then their notice was one week?

The current contract states that if you are weekly paid you must give 4 weeks notice. If you are monthly paid it is 1 months notice.

My contract is from 2006 and I don’t really remember what is saying about a notice period

contracts changed in April 2017.
if you signed your contract before then a 1 week notice period is required, if you signed after this time then a 1 month period of notice is required.

7 days or 1 month depending on which contract you signed. But to be honest do you think RM would go running to a solicitor for breach of contract if you just walked. Suppose it all depends if you want to leave on good terms or not.

If you have worked over two year why not go for the pay off you keep your shares and gain 34 weeks pay plus PILON
