Our latest Quality of Service report for First and Second Class USO mail reveals that we have exceeded both our First and Second Class targets in the first quarter of the 2019-20 financial year.
  • We delivered 93.2% of First Class mail the next working day, against a target of 93%
We delivered 98.9% of Second Class mail within three working days against a target of 98.5%
Paul O’Keefe, transformation portfolio director, said: ‘We are delighted to have exceeded both our First and Second Class Quality of Service targets in the first quarter. This is a really positive start to the year and is testimony to the hard work of colleagues across the pipeline to maintain and drive up quality.

'The second half of the year tends to be more challenging as volumes increase through peak and adverse weather hits. So, we need to build on this early momentum. If we can achieve some record monthly performance results, it will ensure we meet our full year target. Everyone can help by focusing on safe and on-time delivery of each and every letter and parcel.’

Here are our top ten performing postcode areas for First Class mail, year to date:

WS Walsall 96.7
CA Carlisle 95.9
BH Bournemouth 95.8
SR Sunderland 95.8
DT Dorchester 95.7
NP Newport 95.7
FY Fylde 95.7
PH Perth 95.6
FK Falkirk 95.5
AL St Albans 95.4

We are the only UK mail delivery company required to publish Quality of Service performance against delivery targets every quarter and we have one of the highest Quality of Service specifications of any major European country.

These figures cover the period from 1 April to 30 June 2019.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I would think the postal staff responsible will be getting a 2.6% pay rise like the lazy managers are for all the hard work that goes into delivering these results.
