Well that is the biggest crock of shite I ever heard they should abide by the agreements they signed up to but they don't hell I don't need some guy in a posh suit to tell me I am doing well but not as well as some like him or all his bosses nor do I have the frivolity of spending millions of pounds on shares in Royal Mail in a vested interest!

Man, a huge amount of Posties are not doing van checks, cutting across peoples lawns, doorstepping, etc...because they are rushed off their feet with too much to deliver within their time. Managers know this and don't care as they know it boosts productivity by 10%+, they only care when a parcel goes missing or a van has an issue due to neglect.

Yes, this probably results in some compensation claims when parcels go missing and vans being needed to be fixed due to neglect.....but overall I'd assume that this 10%+ increase in productivity from these Posties across the UK is a positive in terms of the back pockets of RM.

I am not sure what else posties can do to become more productive, they are already having to take shortcuts, there are not many more shortcuts they can take.

Maybe RM plan to provide them with jet packs?

Ask the delivery staff.. if they are feeling the pain.. from your draconian treatment..

Fairness in work leads.. these people need to do a delivery for a week.. so out of tough with delivery..

I see a documentary a few years ago about a company whos policy was that everybody in the office including management/secretaries and the guy who owned the business had to work for 2 weeks a year on the shop floor to have a better understanding on problems that are faced at the sharp end. That is the way to go. No worries I will train you Rico, bring decent footwear though its a long 6 hour slog of a delivery.
