Lapsing at Christmas!

I am lost for words but our union rep told us (now we will be overstaffed at Christmas and spare people will go out and do packets so probably won't be an issue but even so) during Christmas pressure (oh and all the way up to it too!) we should be lapsing on Tuesdays at Christmas. This is absolutely ludicrous and not on as we all know during December everyday is a shi* storm and you don't get easy Tuesdays like the rest of the year! Anyone else heard this nonsense?

As above, and any arguments use the PDA actuals to prove you don’t have time. What can they do.

just have the office stop running around YOU HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN ANYMORE ..... then if you have time do it, if not dont.

we lost amazon but still get some through as they can't cope when its busy or out the way calls I think its a form of cherry picking

Tuesdays at our place were light last year and we lapsed 2 out of 3 on those days! If yycant di it in time just tell them and cut off

They can put on as much lapsing as they like, it doesn't mean you will have time to do it.

Why get stressed? I just don’t get it, they could tell you they’re lapsing 10 walks everyday at Christmas but guess what? You have a finish time!!

Might be an unpopular opinion this but, if you've got time to lapse, then do lapsing. If you haven't got time then follow cutting off procedure. You don't have to work over your time.

As most have said, if you have time to lapse then lapse it is what your paid for
but if it takes you over your time and you do not want OT then don't simple
I have this in my office all the time, it is down to you as an individual
we as reps can back you up but we can hold your hands all the time
