Any info on the Latest Big Wig Boss in the SW? Our DOM said they've all had a massive Kick up the Arse from him in a recent briefing .... and so He obviously felt duty bound to pass it on. We then had a long list of BS, which basically seemed to say that everything wrong with Royal Mail was basically down to all us work shy, lazy bastards. I think they were upset because they're not getting their Bonus.

Now that the Summer's here he's started his Penny Pinching Tactics. Jumping on everyone that trys to claim some Over Time..... "Mail Volumes are Low" Wait until nearer Christmas he'll be expecting everyone to be working like Dogs again!

I told my guvnor not to quote mail volumes to me no more because we are now being told that we are a parcel delivery company that also does letters. So please quote parcel volumes instead because that is now the criteria we should be working from.

Time to 'brown letter' the middle management tier and stop using their often confused buffering management level to keep the workers happy/scared/annoyed etc. there is seemingly to me a dog eat dog culture with various local agreements and favouritism being common in all workplaces...even with a strong union...me thinks the internal thatcherites have put it up em (cwu) so that the scum has truly risen to the top (of RMG). divide and rule politics is ruinous but natural. if you have a job worth fighting for, then do it as per the national agreements and stop cosying up to the scum (local AND national) management; who to be frank couldn't give a toss about tha STAFF's welfare/condition/pay et al...such a 'JACK' attitude from the scum is what has put the world in such a feckin mess: never mind RMG. As Rome burns Rico/Boris and Donald will continue to fiddle. JUST DO THE JOB PROPERLY AS PER THE MANUAL...KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON REGARDLESS UNTIL TOLD OTHERWISE BY UNION and watch 'em burn!
