Now that he's 're based' the dividend to the tune of a 40% cut, should his wage packet be 're based' too?
Being as since he took over the share price has gone from £6 ish to £2 ish. Thats some (negative) performance!!

Certainly looks like he can't be trusted... in his previous statement did he not offer assurances that he was pursuing a "progressive dividend" policy, then promptly slashes it by around 40%!!

If he's prepared to lie to and deceive the precious investors and shareholders than I'm damn sure he'll have no qualms about doing the same to us worthless employees and the union.

Sorry but Brexit has literally nothing to do with it. Profits have been steadily declining since it was privatised.

RM hasn't been innovative enough and moved with the times, we're only now seeing talk of evening deliveries, I suggested that to the justsayit email way back in 2014.

And it's bound to the USO and is heavily unionised, so RM is a great big behemoth of a ship sailing in the wrong direction and the captain's and officers of the ship aren't pushing enough to change course and the ones stoking the boilers below deck aren't interested in the overall picture.

A snippet of the email I sent 1/6/2014 To justsayit@royalmail.com to which I never received a reply!

Some other ideas I had around creating extra business.

- At the moment with park and loop we have a whole fleet of vans sat around come mid-afternoon. The potential would be there to utilise them to offer an evening delivery service for customers, they could pay slight additional charge for it, but they could ensure their packet gets to them when it's convenient. This could apply not only to packets bought online, but items at the callers office they want redelivered.

- Offering collection of packets at the customers door. A system could be put in place whereby the customer prepays for the shipping of the item online. Prints out a shipping label which can be scanned by our PDAs, the postman then collects the item when going about his round.

Yeah Because hundreds of companies haven't been bought and all there assets, pensions, wages stripped in the last 20 or so years. Nothing to do with Brexit. Also voted remain.

This yr has been one of the biggest for companies issuing profit warnings and cutting dividends....and they're the ones that haven't gone out of business! Is this just a strange coincidence?

Maybe because if you have 5% savings year on year for 20 years you cannot get anymore savings without looking at the top renumarations or the management structure of the businesses and they will not look at aiming the gun at themselves just as some do in deliveries in royal mail!

You must have been living in a bubble This country has been going to the dogs for at least the last 20 years. It has not suddenly happened because of brexit.
